6AT – 6ATH – 7AT – 7ATH SERIES
The range includes sizes from MEC 56 to MEC 200. Up to an axis height of 132, the motors have an aluminium casing with long-life lubrication of the 2RS type, and modular fixing feet; the sizes from MEC 160 to MEC 200, instead, have a cast iron casing and have SKF bearings with external greaser for periodic lubrication and PTC sensors on the windings.
The AT type direct current brake is characterised by its extremely small size: the electromagnet and brake disc (which is of cast iron and united with the cooling fan) are housed inside the fan cover, therefore the AT type brake motor external sizes are equal to those of the corresponding motors without brake; the low braking torque and the flywheel effect of the cast iron brake/fan make it particularly suitable for applications where progressive braking is required. A rectifier positioned inside the terminal box transforms the incoming alternate current into direct current to supply the brake electromagnet.
